Ukraine: New Hope Trauma Retreats

Will you help those damaged by the war in Ukraine to recover, and envision a future with Jesus at the center?

Multiply partners with New Hope Center in Zaporizhzhia, founded by Multiply Ukraine directors Maxym and Anya Oliferovski, and providing holistic care to youth-at-risk and families in crisis. War has added a dimension of trauma to needs that were already critical, as New Hope staff minister to the damaged and displaced through emergency relief, temporary shelter and resettlement assistance. Because this Center is located in a zone of active military conflict, emotional and psychological recovery for residents is challenging.

This project provides an opportunity for families who are living with constant danger, fear and grief to have a time of refuge and recovery. New Hope Trauma Retreats temporarily relocate traumatized families to a safer location east of the active war zones, providing professional therapeutic treatment sessions and an opportunity to connect with the eternal hope of the Gospel.

Your donations to this project will enable families to spend 10 days in the relative safety and restorative beauty of a retreat center in the mountainous regions of eastern Ukraine, where being in nature will allow for a release of stress and an opportunity to recover a normal family dynamic. New Hope Center staff and members of God’s Family MB Church will oversee all activities, including prayer ministry and therapeutic sessions designed to facilitate holistic healing of minds, hearts, bodies, relationships and faith. These retreats will be offered every 4 to 6 weeks, with provision made for travel, accommodation, therapy and all other activities for up to 5 families for each retreat.

$250 provides for one individual to attend this retreat, and $1000 will provide for one family.
