His Divine Hand
Beatriz Semedo's curiosity had finally gotten the best of her. She decided to check out the MB Mission Massama church plant to see what Christianity was all about. When MB Mission worker Marjorie Ekk and some ladies from the congregation invited her to attend an event one Saturday, she declined, choosing to go shopping with her daughter. But Beatriz's path crossed with those ladies that day, and out of respect she accompanied them to the event. However it was more than just respect that was stirring in her soul that Saturday. The Holy Spirit was working in her heart.
"Serve God or Idols." The topic of the event spoke loudly to Beatriz, and God's voice spoke even louder. That day Beatriz asked Jesus to be the Lord of her life.
God was in her heart, but idols still filled her home. Beatriz destroyed every figure she once worshiped and fully surrendered her will to God. Life hasn't been easy for Beatriz, but she finds strength to make it through each day because she's living under the grace of God's divine hand.
Portugal is strongly influenced by religion, but God is longing for relationship. He is calling His workers to invest in the Portuguese and and help rebuild the spiritual kingdom. How will you respond?
