This week, I had an interesting lunch with an intercessor and friend who is 93 years young. Thirteen years ago while Les’ brother was dying, his brother asked him to take a “prayer baton” from him. For many years Les’ brother had been awakened by the Lord in the middle of the night to pray for their family, missionaries and church leaders. He was asking Les to now carry that baton. Les agreed and has enjoyed the nightly prayer vigil ever since.

At a recent training conference for our N Africa follow up team, I was kneeling before a former mullah, washing his feet. We were remembering what Jesus taught his disciples in John 13 when he washed their feet. Ali was crying as he experienced anew the incredible love that Jesus has for us.
